Today, I went to the Brass Solo Recital at the Carter Recital Hall. The experience was interesting. I found myself trying to figure out why certain pieces made me feel a certain way when I heard it. Like I was feeling faint memories from listening to it. I realized through some of the songs that the feeling I was sensing was either seasonal or heroic. It must have been from movies I have watched where Brass is often used in Christmas movies or more medieval, heroic settings. Either way, I found the recital very enjoyable and I loved it.
