Yastaki Shimizu - Sound Installation for Robot Garden

Watching this video, I became a little entranced. In the beginning, it starts out with these little sounds that, for some reason, sound familiar to me as the camera slowly pans around these odd forms. Overtime, the sound intensifies and blossoms into a sort of symphony; and we see these rounded objects move across the floor as the light and images reflect down upon them. Throughout watching the video, however, I think more about alien life rather than robots; much of the shapes and formations are organic in shape and remind me of cells and microorganisms rather than anything technical, mechanical, or robotic. The only thing that gives me a feel for anything robotic would probably be the shiny, rounded objects that glide themselves around the floor as people pass by them in the installation.
