For project 2 I wanted to be more experimental and try something different. My concept was to create  a video that talked about climate change and how it's effecting our entire planet. I knew I wanted to include videos that I had saved on my phone thought the years with audio clips from news channels. I have always taken short videos of nature growing up. The video idea came from a thought that there might come a day where I'm watching these videos to remember what our world used to look like. 

At first I wanted video clips of me drawing (on an IPad) a tree with interrupting clips of  nature to show that there are no tress left on earth for me use as a reverence. I also wanted to include audio of machines silently running in the background. However, when actually trying this idea I ended up hating it. So, decided to create balls of clay that represent earth (or any planet, since now we're looking into other planets to live), and have the person behind the camera slowly destroying them.  I stitched together multiple clips with each news audio. Then I layered the clay videos on top and put a Blend Mode effect called Overlay.

I end the video with the person behind the camera trying the reassemble the pieces but being unsuccessful in creating something as perfect as the original. I was trying to show that no matter what we do try to fix our situation, we have left a permanent mark.
