Project 3_Progress_Erin Dixon

I began "composing" a two minute long song that consisted of a synth altering between different chords. I went for this airy and enchanting sound that would play throughout the entirety my video.

I recorded my ceiling that had colors projected onto it from a "galaxy light". The colors move and fade randomly, and I tried to capture a complex composition.

I recorded more footage which consisted of filling my sink with bubbles and projecting light into the sink using the "galaxy light". I let myself record for a while and experimented with colors and movement as well as turning on the faucet. I began layering the clips to create a surreal and colorful visual.

I really focused on layering and having smooth transitions between the different sections. I manipulated the lens at certain points to create distortion. I also had this effect move to create an even more dreamy effect.

Still continuing to layer and focus more on the water/bubble aspect of my video, I went back to the beginning of my video and added water noises from newly recorded footage. I wanted to tie the video together with the audio of the water.

Nearing the end of the process, I tweaked the clips and made sure that everything transitioned smoothly. For the end of the video, the music fades out, leaving only the sound of the faucet running with the visual of it as well. This too then fades out, the sound of the water lingering just a tad longer before ultimately fading to black.
