    I went to the brass solo recital where a bunch of various different bass instruments were played, sometimes in conjunction with other instruments. The night started off interesting with a trumpet and piano combo, the piano being a constant  throughout the night, and while the music was good I was surprised but the full extent of the ecstatic energy pulsing throughout the crowd. The applause in and out was a constant reminder of the collective enthusiasm. One instrument that also stuck out to me was the trombone, as it was an instrument that I played during middle school. My familiarity with it only increased my enjoyment as the player achieved some things middle school me could only dream of.
