For this week's video I chose to respond to Sun Boxes. I found this video the most interesting simply because of the sound boxes. The boxes are solar powered, meaning that the only way the box would produce sound is if it was exposed to the sun. Despite all of the boxes facing the same direction, you can clearly see from the video that the solar panels on some of the boxes are not completely exposed to the sun (blocked by the shadows of trees). Whether this was intentional or not, I believe that the differing levels of sun exposure for each box really helped with the creation of the various noises. If a box was partially exposed to the sun, it would create a quieter sound compared to a fully exposed box. With this in mind, depending on the time of day the same person would experience two distinctly different "songs".
