 This is a response to Eli's video, "The Shout" (1978). This piece reminds me of my childhood days, when we would experiment with sound just by playing out in the field with friends. We would put water bottles under our bikes so when the tire rubbed against the bottle it created a motorcycle sound. This guy John Hurt is experimenting with different kinds of sounds to create a specific kind of effect. A Fun effect was adding water to a plate of marbles to create an echo sound almost like hard waves. The one that blew my mind was the cigarette creating an explosion/heavy wind effect, really cool what you can do with sound. This video gives me inspiration that i can do whatever I want with sound and manipulate the effect to however I need to use it.
