Week10_Cierra Horton

I chose Yasuaki Shimizu, Robot garden. I thought this piece was beautiful visually and the sounds were sort of enchanting. It really does feel like a robot garden. I imagine that this is exactly was a robotic garden would sound when blooming and growing. The way the sound fluctuated throughout the video gave me the impression of seasons changing. In one part of the video it almost sounds as if it's Spring and life is dancing around bringing everything into bloom. The moving organic shapes look like video taken under a microscope with layered drawings on top. I couldn't find any interview with Shimizu on this piece, so I don't know if he was literally trying to create a robot garden.
