Cremaster Cycle
This video opens with some very beautiful clips of different landscapes but you're thrown off with the eerie audio. Then slowly these very odd clips start playing that make you very curious and disturbed at the same time. I feel that the the purpose behind the video is to make you feel uncomfortable. There are are several clips of people in closed in spaces. Then when the music starts to pick up pace, people are start dying. The entire video was several one shot clips of different scenes made into a montage. After watching this trailer, I had no interest in watching the full film.
I definitely can agree that this film feels and seems odd. Mix with the disturbing visuals and eerie audio, I also had no interest in watching the full film.
ReplyDeleteI also had no interest watching the whole film. After having the discussion with my group, I came to the conclusion that the film is really abstract. There is also a lot of mixed media art in it.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way about it seeming to make the viewer uncomfortable. I thought the people/ animal hybrids came off creepy as well
