Week 5_Response_Annecia Thompson

 

    This week, I watched the trailer for Parasite by Bong Joon Ho. The trailer was enjoyable to watch, albeit, I found myself a little confused by what it was supposed to be. Granted, horror movies tend to do best when a not is revealed. It makes the ride even more effective if you were to go into it blind. However, I found myself being confused if it was a horror film or a comedy by the sudden shift in mood in the middle of the trailer. The imagery added to the confusion as well as I didn't register it as scary more than it seemed like everyday life for people. It makes me think that perhaps I was not the target audience for something like this.
