Week 5 Response: Anna Forbes

I chose to respond to Migration. I found this video to be very calming and interesting. The video is a montage, and there seems to be a mix of static, zooming, and panning camera motions. To me, this video aims to show what wild animals would look like if they stayed in hotel rooms while "migrating," much like humans stay in hotel rooms while traveling. I found it interesting that some animals looked confused, others looked like they knew what they were doing, and some just started destroying the place. I think the artist is attempting to strengthen the relationship between wild animals and humans in this video. I also thought the music choice was interesting. At first, the content of this video seems comedic, but the music says otherwise. The music is fairly minor and serious, giving the video a whole different vibe. I thought this video was very professional and clean; the filming techniques were used successfully. Overall, I really enjoyed this video and thought the artist did a great job filming and editing.
