The Cremaster Cycle trailer is an interesting video because it's not edited like your typical trailer. It's more of a bunch of clips placed together to make the view more interested in what is going on while each clip becomes increasingly more abstract than the next. If you were to ask anyone what the original video is about they wouldn't have a clue. It's in itself to be able to pick out each clip to make the theme of the original video unpredictable.
I agree that The Cremaster Cycle trailer was interesting to look at. I will admit that the visuals caught me off guard, but after doing research about what the film's idea was about along with understanding the visuals, I find myself even more curious about the films and their runtimes.
ReplyDeleteThe Cremaster Cycle 's trailer is odd. It reminds me of a compilation rather than a trailer. I think the trailer's intention was to not give away any of the plot while still wanting viewers to express interest in the movie.
ReplyDeleteSo apparently the Cremaster has to do with testicles, according to wikipedia, so that's fun. It was hard to figure out what the meaning or plot, if any, of the film series was, but it definitely explains some of the sexual and explicit imagery. I also got circus vibes, there was some cowboy imagery thrown in, and also some gory bloody scenes as well. It is definitely an art film, but other than that I don't really know what it's about.
