Sam Glover - Progress Check #1, Project 2

I'm currently experimenting with test footage in preparation for my project. I used an adjustment layer to experiment with color. I ordered some LED lights for my project, and I think using the "tint" option with the map black/white setting will help me further enhance my colors. I'm thinking of using colors to convey emotion, along with effects and transitions.

Here is further experimentation of effects using a mirror overlay:

Progress Check #2

I ended up scrapping my previous idea and wanted to scene map my video. I wanted to lay everything out from beginning to end so I knew where to go from one point to the next. I've also been using this scene map as a checklist to mark down all the scenes I've shot, although that is not pictured in the following screenshots.

I knew I wanted to play with different perspectives. I found out how to screen record, so I've been using a lot of webcam footage and screen recordings for this work. A lot of this work focuses on inception, so I really wanted to capture the same scene from different angles. This can be seen in the following screenshots!

10/5 FINAL WORD:

Ultimately, I wanted my video to begin as a "day in my life" video that slowly begins to instill a sense of paranoia as the subject (myself) learns that they're being recorded. Through different perspectives and collages, I want to challenge the viewer to consider what is being viewed through "our eyes" and what is being filmed by "someone else"
Through the use of cuts and collages, my goal was to switch between these perspectives of the inside (and outside) perspectives. I used black screens, glitch effects, and auditory effects to create tension in certain scenes to build up the paranoia. The final project is my film, "Watching" which can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/gK8Do4ev2Rk
