Project 1 Progress: Anna Forbes

Here is my first progress post for project 1. I filmed my goldfish feeding, and I added some scary, shark music to the video to play on the irony that although made to seem scary, goldfish are really just peaceful. I cut my audio to go back and forth from the shark music to the peaceful, original audio. I am using static camera technique throughout the video; I did this by propping my phone camera on the side of the fish pond.

Here is my second progress post for project 1. I've edited the sound of the video more and added titles. In the first image, you can see my title. I added a swipe transition to it, and it comes into view as the music starts. The second image shows the fish in action as the shark music plays. The theme of my video centers around the irony that the goldfish are made to seem violent or voracious like sharks, when really, they're just harmless goldfish. I added cuts to speed up the video when the shark music is playing and slow down the video when the peaceful soundtrack is playing. This is different from my first progress post; I decided it would be better to have the shark music play throughout the first part of the video and cut to the original audio at the end. By doing this, I'm showing the difference between the edited video and reality. A feeding frenzy vs. calm goldfish feeding with peaceful background noise. This is the purpose of my video, and overall, I think my video does a good job fulfilling the purpose and portraying the intended theme.
