 I chose to respond to Elliot Hundley's work. I really appreciate his use of collage when it comes to stirring emotions in the viewer. He talks about using references/images of relevant ideas in today's culture and society. I really enjoyed his use of color; his work seems to be very colorful based on what I've seen in the video. I also appreciate how he uses several different mediums in his collage work. Fabric, yarn, paint, paper, and printed images all seem to be used in his work. Viewers can most likely relate to his work very well. Personally, I enjoy seeing how multiple parts and pieces can come together to make a whole. He must do a lot of research to collect ideas and images for his collage work. I also noticed that each piece shown in the video seemed to have a unified color pallet. Some pieces used primarily warm colors, while others used primarily cool colors. I believe he succeeds in stirring up an emotional response in his viewers, as well as making something they can relate to.
