 For this week's video, I watched Raven Kwok's Rule 110. I thought this video was very exciting. I liked how the colors and shapes progressed with the music. It was quite mesmerizing to watch. The effect of the continuous shot "following" the movement of the patterns of the shapes draws the viewer into the music. The combination of the auditory and visual stimuli brings life to the song. The visuals grow and become much more complex as the song goes on. It reminds me of Fantasia, animation inspired by music, something I always enjoyed as a kid. I think it's pretty awesome that we can make things like this with a computer and the right know-how.
