Week 2 Video Response Johnny
Lets talk about the music video Hideaway by Kiesza. I enjoyed watching the choreography after she gets out of the cab, at first I thought it was going to be one of those crappy low budget music videos but once her dance crew came out and started dancing with her I understood this was about to be some quality footage. It was all one-shot, camera panning to the next 'scene'. Every scene was beautiful and unique, each transition from the sidewalk/road scene to the graffiti on the wall scene to the intensely dynamic solo dance scene in front of the garage was all perfectly timed and full of art. You could tell who was part of the music video production and who just happened to be there that day and ended up as extras in the video. The people who were part of it were wearing bright colored clothing and the ordinary citizens were wearing ordinary clothes. The skater that "randomly" skate boards by the singer was dressed like he was hired, I was debating whether or not that was part of it or random but then I was "like there's no way he'd have the balls to photo bomb a production in the middle of the road". Anyways beautiful production, beautiful execution, a lot of style and lots of talent went into the making of this music video. All in one shot.
