Week 2 Video Response - Landon Jones

For this weeks video, I chose to watch Kiesza's Hideaway music video. After watching the video, I am proud to say that I absolutely HATED every second of it. For context, the music video was filmed as one long continuous shot with the camera following our lead character. It was a very interesting technique to utilize as it allowed each scene to flow smoothly into the next. While I do believe that this filming style was well suited for the purpose of the video, I would have enjoyed it more with a bit more editing. With no editing, I was forced to sit and watch as every thing played out (you could practically feel each second pass by). This was only problematic as I didn't find anything in the video particularly interesting and nothing sustained my interest.
